Brighton & Hove Operatic Society was formed in 1886, and has been producing shows since then in the Brighton & Hove area.

City theatre company was formed in September 2007 after a general feeling between the membership of our parent company Brighton & Hove Operatic Society that the name was dated and did not reflect the modern image of our activities which include concerts, musicals and drama.
